Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby.

They are a grant-making charity and fund life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland. As an Essex based club, all money raised by Witham Rugby Club will go to support projects in Essex.

Aaron Coombs, a Witham Rugby Club member for over 30 years and a member of the clubs management board said:

“Our aim at Witham Rugby Club is to be part of the local community. A great way to demonstrate this is to adopt a charity that could make a difference in our community. It is very early days for us but we will be arranging various events to raise money for this excellent cause, so watch this space and please get behind your club and support the Wooden Spoon”
