On Sunday 14th of August Witham touch rugby team competed in the last summer tournament of the season, this time hosted by Harwich and Dovercourt Rugby Club. Strong performances in their first two games against Harwich and Dovercourt Seconds and Colchester saw Witham win both matches without a single try scored against them. The third pool game was a closer run event, with Witham narrowly losing to Lordswood. A tense semi final against Harwich and Dovercourt First Team ended with both teams drawn at one try each. Extra time followed without conclusion and a tense sudden death playoff ensued, with Witham dabbing down in the corner to seal the win. The final was a replay against Lordswood who once again proved too strong for Witham. Second place in the tournament was awarded to Witham, with Witham player, Megan Bearman named player of the tournament.
